I had the privilege to intern for a lovely little studio, J.Hill Design. Places I Have Never Been is an ongoing project that Jennifer Hill created years ago when she started her studio. As an intern, I created two patterns as a contribution to this project. Each pattern symbolizes a specific city through color, shapes, and pattern.
The Atlanta print was inspired by minty green and peachy color schemes; colorful bicycles; botanical gardens and shady tulip poplars. I was struck by Berlin during my own travels, so I had to be the one to make a pattern for the city. Inspired by the television tower, the Fernsehturm; Bauhaus; and the Graffiti culture in Berlin.
